“Back to Basics”
Summer Program
As our 2019 Tournament season comes to an end for our younger teams we are very pleased with the progress that our players have made since the beginning of fall practice in September. The skill set, work ethic, and overall baseball knowledge has improved tremendously. As our players move on to play with their community All-star/tournament teams we want them to continue to keep working to improve throughout the remainder of the summer. This is the time of year when bad habits begin to creep in. As the number of games increases repetition of basic fundamentals tends to decrease. This leads to breakdown of throwing, fielding and hitting mechanics. To make sure our players “ stay the course” we are introducing our
“BACK TO BASICS”SUMMER PROGRAM
As the name indicates we will be getting “BACK TO BASICS”. The goal of this program is to reinforce the fundamentals that we worked so hard on throughout the winter. Players will work on the following:
Infield: Proper footwork, glove work, throwing
Outfield: Routes, angles, throws, reeds ( we will do ALOT of Outfield work)
Throwing: Mechanics, long toss
Hitting: Mechanics
This program will take place on Tuesday mornings at the Meyer Middleton Complex and is FREE to all Dawgs players that want to continue to get better!!!

Any player age 8-14 is welcome to attend the 5 week program.
We understand players may not be able to make every session. We would like them to attend as often as possible
